Kylie vs Kylie: Jenner loses name trademark battle with Minogue

Cape Town – Kylie Jenner has lost the race to trademark the moniker Kylie.

Back in February 2016, Jenner applied to trademark her first name with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, but she wasn’t the only Kylie who wanted to own the name.

Kylie Minogue followed suit with an opposition to the 19-year-old’s application, calling her a “secondary reality television personality”.

Minogue’s oppisition described her as an “internationally renowned performing artist, humanitarian, and breast cancer activist”.

Now, according Daily Mail, Minogue has won her legal battle against Jenner.

The Patent Office reportedly rejected Jenner’s application last week, however Jenner’s legal team has already launched an appeal.
