LOL! Don't expect Taylor Lautner to understand you if you're British

Los Angeles - Taylor Lautner struggles to understand British slang and phrases.

The former Twilight actor - who was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan - spends a lot of time in the UK filming for his role in BBC comedy series Cuckoo and although he loves life in Britain he can't always understand what people are saying to him, despite Americans sharing he English language with their cousins across the pond.

During an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, he said: "I'm not sure what 'cheeky' means. I hear it used so much and in so many different ways, I can't identify the real meaning of it. I don't even know if it's a good or a bad thing! I had to adjust to the kind of comedy here, it's a little more sarcastic, a little dry but I'm learning and I love it."

Fellow guest Rob Brydon then explained to him: "You might describe Jonathan as cheeky, it's warm..."

Host Jonathan added: "You could also have a cheeky pint."

Taylor also revealed he is a martial arts expert and started training in the art of self-defence when he was just six years old

The 24-year-old hunk - who is famed for showing off his ripped torso on screen - said: "I started extreme martial arts when I was six years old and it basically is the marriage of traditional karate, acrobatic gymnastics. My weapon that I did was the bo staff."
