Malia Obama lands a dream internship with 'the Oscar whisperer'

Cape Town - The eldest daughter of former US president Barack Obama, is going to start an internship with Harvey Weinstein in February. 

The Hollywood reporter were the first to confirm the news on Friday, that Obama had secured the post with Harvey, at The Weinstein Co.

The Weinstein's company has been behind such Oscar favourites as The Artist and The King's Speech, so the Weinstein brothers often get called ' Oscar Whisperers.' It is also rumoured that their latest film Lion is tipped for Oscar glory.

Malia has previously interned on the set of hit US show Girls.

The former first daughter will start at Harvard in the American autumn following the internship.
