Cape Town - ‘Quitting’ her day job, tea with the Queen and reported preparations to make the big move to London: Meghan Markle looks set to officially join the royal family soon.

Those in the know say the gorgeous brunette, who’s been steady with her ginger-haired prince since May 2016, could walk down the aisle as early as next year.

The couple are reportedly more smitten than ever, with a palace insider revealing to The Sun they just “can’t bear to be apart.”

And royal expert Katie Nicholl believes Meghan’s career shift and possible move to London are telling signs of a coming royal marriage.

“I am told by my sources that Meghan is likely to be moving to London as soon as November,” Katie told Entertainment Tonight.

“She's not signing up for another series of Suits. She's planning to leave Canada and make London her new, permanent home."

But where exactly will the LA-born actress live?

“I am told that she will be moving into Kensington Palace. In fact, she already keeps a wardrobe of clothes at Harry's house over in Kensington Palace and she's going to be spending all of her time over here from now on.”

The prince lives in Nottingham Cottage, a small, three-bedroom cottage on the palace grounds.

Katie adds that the couple will move into a bigger apartment within the palace grounds once they get married.

So when will they actually tie the knot?

According to Daily Mail, senior members of the royal family have been asked to “shortlist” several weekends next year – “the clearest sign yet that an engagement announcement is imminent” – although it’s not been revealed which dates precisely.

Meghan will walk down the aisle in June, predicts Katie, as an earlier wedding will clash with too many royal engagements.

Her future sister-in-law’s pregnancy also needs to be taken into consideration, Katie points out.

She adds that Kate will first have to get back in shape after giving birth to her and Prince William’s third bundle of joy in April, and there’s the likelihood of the prince being his brother’s best man – the last thing Wills needs is to have the stress of his wife going into labour in the back of his mind.

“So, I think there will need to be a bit of space between the royal baby being born mid-April and Meghan and Harry tying the knot. This summer is probably going to be the best bet for a royal wedding.”

In the meantime, we’ll keep an eye out for that engagement ring – it’s bound to be an eye-catcher!
