Meghan Trainor responds to Australian anti-marriage equality campaign

Cape Town – Meghan Trainor has responded to an Australian Facebook group using her face and song lyrics to promote anti-marriage equality.

To bring you up to speed, Australians are soon to vote for or against marriage equality in their country in a postal survey conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

A Facebook group against marriage equality used Meghan Trainor’s face as well as a play on the lyrics of her song, No, to advertise their cause.

The American singer/songwriter has now responded to the ad saying she does support marriage equality and that the group is illegally using her picture for their campaign.

Meghan also shared a campaign ad in favour of marriage equality on Instagram, emphasising that “love is love” and people should vote “yes”.
