Los Angeles - Paris Hilton has split from her boyfriend.
The 35-year-old socialite has parted ways from Swiss businessman Thomas Gross after almost a year of dating, sources confirmed to Us Weekly magazine.
News of the split is likely to come as a shock as Paris - who relocated to Europe to be with her boyfriend - has previously described Thomas as her "soulmate".
She said: "Thomas is my soulmate. I've never been happier. He doesn't like fame, he just wants me.
"With my previous boyfriends, I felt there was always an intention, but with him I know it's all about love."
And she also spoke of her desire to marry and have children with Thomas, who she met at the Cannes Film Festival last May.
She said: "I can't wait to have kids. I would love to have two or three. I loved growing up with my brothers and sisters so I wouldn't just want one.
"I'm very traditional though - I'd like to get married before I have children...
"It would be great to have a daughter - to have a mini me - so I can dress her up as me. It's going to be so much fun."
