Cape Town - Meadow Walker, the only child of late Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker (40), has settled her wrongful death lawsuit against luxury car manufacturer, Porsche.

Both parties have requested the case be dismissed, according to a report by The Blast.

Meadow (18) had sued the luxury car manufacturers claiming her father had been trapped by a “defective seatbelt” and burned alive when he was involved in a high-speed crash in 2013 that saw the 2005 Carrera GT he was travelling in, bursting into flames after it hit a concrete lamp post and two trees.

Her lawsuit alleged that Porsche knew that the specific car in Paul's case “had a history of instability and control issues.”

The crash claimed the lives of Paul, who was in the passenger seat, and the driver, Roger Rodas.

Meadow, whose mother is Paul’s ex-girlfriend, Rebeca Soteros, was previously awarded $10.1m in a 2016 settlement from the estate of Roger Rodas, MailOnline reports

At the time, her lawyer released a statement saying: "The amount paid by the estate of Roger Rodas into a trust for Meadow Walker only covers a fraction of what her father would have earned as an international movie star had his life not tragically been cut short."

Paul was filming Furious 7 at the time of his death and his brothers Caleb and Cody served as stand-ins to finish his scenes.

Meadow has since become a social media sensation with 1.4 million followers on Instagram.
