Cape Town – Portuguese professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is now the proud dad of twins.

The 32-year-old confirmed reports that he welcomed a baby boy and baby girl with the help of a surrogate via Instagram on Thursday.

Alongside a photo of the proud dad holding his newborns, Cristiano wrote: “So happy to be able to hold the two new loves of my life.”

According to reports by various outlets, including The New Age, the twins are named Eva and Mateo and were carried by a woman living on the US West Coast.

The Sun reported in March that the soccer star was to become a dad again.

Cristiano already has 7-year-old son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr who was also born via surrogate.

The Real Madrid player is currently dating Georgina Rogriguez, who according to Hollywood Life is pregnant with his fourth child.

A photo Cristiano share on Instagram in May has caused speculation that the 22-year-old is pregnant however nothing has been confirmed.
