PIC: Lamar Odom pictured for first time since hospitalisation

Los Angeles - Lamar Odom has been pictured for the first time since he was hospitalised following his collapse last year.

The 36-year-old sportsman certainly seems to be on the mend after his son Lamar Jr., 13, uploaded a photograph of himself, his famous father and his sister Destiny, 17, taken on Christmas Day, on his Instagram account.

He captioned the image as: "Christmas with pops. Here's to 2016. Blessed (sic)"

However, it's not known if the photo was taken in Lamar's hospital room or somewhere else but his estranged wife Khloé Kardashian, 31, did fork out to fly Lamar Jr. and Destiny to Los Angeles, where her ex-beau is being looked after by medical staff, for the festive season.

A source said: "Khloé flew Lamar's kids out to Los Angeles so they can spend time with him, and Khloé came to Houston for a few days while his kids are in LA with him."

Lamar's children, who he has with Liza Morales, no doubt feel incredibly grateful to have spent Christmas with the NBA star after his brush with death in October when he was found unconscious following a drugs and alcohol binge.

The frightening incident happened at a brothel in Las Vegas but Lamar has been recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles ever since after Khloé paid out to have him moved to a facility closer to her Calabasas home.

Although Lamar recently took his first steps unaided, doctors have warned his family and friends that his journey to a full recovery is likely to be a long and slow one.
