PICS: Miley performed topless on stage to 'save the whales'

Los Angeles - Pamela Anderson joined Miley Cyrus on stage on Saturday.

The Baywatch actress was invited on stage at The Wiltern in Los Angeles to join the Wrecking Ball singer - and fellow animal rights activist - for the finale, her single We Can't Stop.

Pamela donned a black tank top and shorts with the words "No Captivity" on the side of her leg, and she carried a sign which read "Save the Whales".

Meanwhile, Miley had on a much racier outfit, comprising a silver harness, rainbow wig and unicorn horn, as well as a bra complete with prosthetic breasts which made her look as if she was topless.

After the show, the former Playboy model thanked the 23-year-old singer for allowing her on stage.

She tweeted: "Save the whales! No Captivity! Go Vegan! - Thanks @MileyCyrus @SeaShepherdSSCS #endtaijislaughter (sic)"

And the 48-year-old actress wasn't the only celebrity in attendance at the gig.

Zac Efron, Bella Hadid and Cody Simpson were all spotted in the audience for the final show of Miley's Dead Petz tour.

A number of news outlets have censored the images of Miley's on-stage ensemble, much to her surprise.

She posted on Instagram: "I still can't believe that my fake tits get censored (sic)"
