PICS: Obama makes Ellen DeGeneres cry in emotional medal ceremony

Cape Town – Ellen DeGeneres was one of 21 Americans awarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Tuesday.

But the emotional show host almost didn’t make it!

While everyone else was allowed in, Ellen was left waiting outside because she forgot her ID.

Here Ellen is patiently waiting to get into the White House:

Never-the-less Ellen eventually made it in and made a grand entrance – she got everyone present in the East Room of the White House to participate in the #MannequinChallenge!
