Poland — The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children have arrived in Poland, the first leg of a goodwill trip to two European Union nations that seeks to underscore Britain's friendly ties despite its negotiations to leave the bloc.
The royals arrived on Monday at Warsaw's airport. They are to meet Poland's president and his wife, take a walk in the Old Town and meet with World War II veterans and with Polish and British businesspeople.
On their first official visit to Poland they have come with their children, Prince George, who turns 4 years old on Saturday, and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte.
Prince William and the Duchess will travel to the Baltic coast city of Gdansk on Tuesday, where they will meet former president Lech Walesa, before heading for Germany on Wednesday.
