Los Angeles - Porsche has blamed Paul Walker for his own death.

The luxury car company has hit back at the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the late star's daughter Meadow, 16, claiming he was "a knowledgeable and sophisticated user of the 2005 Carrera GT" - the car he was a passenger in - when his friend Roger Rodas, who died at the scene, lost control and crashed it two years ago.

The German manufacturer is also convinced the vehicle the handsome actor was travelling in at the time had been "abused and altered, and was misused and improperly maintained," according to gossip website

Meadow filed a lawsuit against the company two months ago as she believes the car wouldn't have spun out of control if it had a substantial stabilisation system.

She also disputed law enforcement's assertion that the crash was caused by speeding, with Roger driving between 80 to 93 mph (128 to 150 kmph), as she claims his actual speed was between 63 and 71 mph (101 and 114 kmph).

The youngster went on to state the Fast and Furious star was still alive when the car caught fire and a "defective" seat belt prevented him from escaping after the safety feature "snapped Walker's torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis" and leaving him trapped.

Paul tragically died two years ago in Santa Clarita, California when his friend Roger lost control of the Carrera GT they were travelling in and hit a concrete lamppost, followed by two trees, before the car went up in flames.
