Sandra Bullock adopts adorable daughter Laila

Los Angeles - Sandra Bullock has announced she has adopted another child - a three-year-old daughter.

The 50-year-old actress has confirmed she recently welcomed the little girl, called Laila, into her family and the tot has already formed an inseparable bond with her brother Louis - who Sandra also adopted.

In an exclusive interview with People magazine, she said: "My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding. That's a family."

Sandra admits Laila was nervous at first when she brought her home in what was the conclusion of a three-year process but Louis, five, and herself made sure she felt confident in her new environment and reassured that they were her new family.

She explained: "Louis spearheaded this whole journey. I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren't going anywhere."

Sandra admits having another girl in the house has brought "pink and glitter" to a home already filled with "Legos and Batman".

Sandra appears on the front cover of the publication with her two children, Laila is facing away from the camera and Louis covers his face with a superhero mask.
