Serena Williams welcomes baby girl

Cape Town – Tennis star Serena Williams and her fiancé Alexis Ohanian have welcomed a baby girl. 

According to reports Serena was admitted into St Mary's Medical Centre in West Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday before going into labour overnight.

While the couple have yet to confirm the news Serena's coach Patrick Mouratoglou, tweeted: "Congratulations Serena for your baby girl am so happy for you and I feel your emotion. Recover well and enjoy without limitation."

The 36-year-old announced her pregnancy earlier this year after she mistakenly posted a selfie of her growing bump on snapchat. (Read more here)

Singer, Beyoncé posted a picture of Serena on Instagram, with the message: Congratulations Serena.
