Splitsville for Jason Derulo and Daphne Joy

Los Angeles - Jason Derulo has split from Daphne Joy.

The New York Daily News' Confidential column reports that the 26-year-old singer - who was previously engaged to Jordin Sparks - has called time on his relationship with model Daphne Joy, 29, the mother of 50 Cent's three-year-old son Sire Jackson.

The couple were first romantically linked in November, and although Daphne denied they were dating at first, it wasn't long before they took their relationship public, leaving Candy Shop rapper 50 Cent shocked.

Responding to an Instagram photo of the couple, he wrote: "But don't worry baby, I'm fine just a little shook up. LMAO Good Morning (sic)."

Meanwhile, Jason previously revealed he finds it "awesome" that he attracts older women and he often gets approached by cougars who attempt to seduce him by singing the lyrics to his and Snoop Dogg's hit single Wiggle.

He said: "Older women always approach me and their line is always, 'I'm too old for you, can you see my butt? Wiggle, wiggle'. I think it's awesome."

However, the Talk Dirty hitmaker insisted he was looking for a girl he can have "intelligent conversation" with.

He said: "I love somebody who is outgoing and likes to try new things."

And he would love to use Tinder to find his ideal woman, but only if they launch a celebrity-only version.

He said: "Social media and dating together is the new wave. I would join if it wasn't so unpredictable. I'd probably meet some huge fans, but otherwise it's not a safe bet. Maybe if they come up with a version of Tinder for celebrities, then I would do it."
