Terry Crews reveals sexual assault by ‘Hollywood executive’

Cape Town – Amid sexual assault and rape allegations against Harvey Weinstein, Terry Crews has opened up about his own experience with sexual assault.

In a Twitter thread on Tuesday night the Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor shared his story in which he accuses a “Hollywood executive” of groping his private parts.

Crews detailed the incident that occurred at a “Hollywood function” he attended with his wife, Rebecca last year.

“My wife n I were at a Hollywood function last year n a high level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates.”

Crews then goes on to say he confronted the individual but admits he didn’t take the matter further because he feared the way it would be perceived in the public eye.

“Jumping back I said What are you doing?!...He just grinned like a jerk.”

“I was going to kick his ass right then— but I thought twice about how the whole thing would appear,” Crews continues, ““240 lbs. Black Man stomps out Hollywood Honcho” would be the headline the next day.”

The 49-year-old added that he confided in numerous people who knew the indivudal and then received an apology phone call the next day.

Crews continued to empathise with women who let incidents similar to his go in the fear of being ostracised and highlighted that “Hollywood is not the only business were this happened.”

Crews concluded that he hopes him coming forward with his story will encourage those who have been victimised to speak up.
