The Kardashian sisters won’t allow Blac Chyna to trademark her new moniker

Cape Town – Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian are opposing Blac Chyna’s request to trademark the name Angela Renee Kardashian.

The sisters filed papers on 1 December asking the US Patent and Trademark Office to reject Chyna’s application.

While she is yet to marry Rob and take his name, Chyna – who welcomed daughter Dream Renee with Rob three weeks ago -  sent her application in May earlier this year already. Her soon-to-be sisters however are not taking it lightly.

Buzzfeed reports in the filed papers the sisters describe themselves as “famous sisters, fashion icons, and well-known television personalities,” and state that they have already staked their name in the retail and fashion industry.

Not to mention that they already “own and control” the rights to their moniker and similar trademarks.

Kourtney, Kim and Khloe’s concern is that allowing Chyna to trademark the name would cause confusion, therefore damaging their brand altogether.

A rep for Chyna has not yet provided comment on the issue.
