Theft charges against Jaden Smith's girlfriend dropped

Los Angeles - Theft charges against Jaden Smith's girlfriend have been dropped.

Sarah Snyder was arrested on 15 June and charged with one count of grand larceny in the third degree after being accused of taking a $15,995 Hermès bag from Penny Pinchers in Bedford, New York in February.

However, the 19-year-old model has revealed that the charges have been dropped.

She wrote an open letter in Harper's Bazaar, which read: "On Wednesday night, February 10th, during a hearing in Bedford at 18:30, the charges were dismissed. I'm just happy that people know the truth and know that I didn't do it. It was satisfying to know that they admitted that they were wrong. All the prejudice against me will hopefully evaporate because the courts confirmed I was in Florida. I have been through so much this past year. I'm just glad it's over."

Sarah also gave details about the allegations against her and revealed she was actually in Florida when the theft occurred.

She wrote: "The store employees from the consignment store, the four women who worked there, had supposedly identified my picture. I had never met them. I kept telling them I hadn't, that I had never seen the bag before, and that I had never even been to Westchester!

"I wasn't even in the state when they claimed I had stolen this bag. I was in Tampa, Florida with my dad."
