Uma Thurman suffers broken bones after horse riding fall

Los Angeles - Uma Thurman has "broken a few bones" after she fell off her horse earlier this week.

The 46-year-old actress has been left with multiple injuries after she was catapulted off the animal and thrown to the floor when it got "spooked" during a recent training session.

A representative for Uma told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "Uma was in an equestrian accident. She was training on a young thoroughbred who got spooked. She was thrown and broke a few bones."

Although the blonde beauty is expected to make a full recovery within a few weeks, she's still very much in pain and is relying on her children Maya, 17, Levon, 14, and Luna, three, to help her get around on her crutches.

The Pulp Fiction star was recently spotted walking gingerly into the La Plage restaurant in St Barts with her children.

An onlooker told the publication: "She looked like she had undergone hip surgery when she walked to La Plage."

Meanwhile, Uma hasn't had the best of luck recently as she was left feeling "violated" last month when Italian entrepreneur Lapo Elkann kissed her at a gala in France.

The talented actress and the former CEO of Fiat automobiles both attended amfAR's 23rd annual Cinema Against AIDS gala in Antibes, France, on 19 May where he bid $196k to win the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show experience and celebrated by planting a kiss on Uma.

Her representative said at the time: "It is opportunism at its worst. She wasn't complicit in it. Somewhere in his head he must have thought it an appropriate way of behaving. It clearly wasn't. She is very unhappy that this happened to her and feels violated."
