WATCH: Charlize Theron still really loves Mrs Balls chutney

Cape Town – In case you were wondering Charlize Theron is still as proudly South African as they come!

In a recent interview on Live with Kelly and Ryan the blonde beauty gushed about how beautiful SA is, our perfect summer days and Mrs Balls Chutney.

When asked if she ever visits, Charlize answered with a big yes saying that it’s easier to visit when it’s winter in SA because then her two kids are on summer holiday.

“South Africa is an incredible place, if you’ve never been go,” she added.

Another proudly South African topic that came up was well-known chutney brand Mrs Balls.

Ryan, wanting to validate that it really does exist urged Charlize to elaborate on the sauce, to which the 41-year-old replied: "It’s a very big brand in South Africa...and we put it on anything, I like to put it on spaghetti bolognaise."

And if you’re curious about whether the Atomic Blonde actress still speaks in Afrikaans, she totally does!

Talking about her home language growing up, Charlize reveals she only learned how to speak English properly when she was 19, purely for a movie role that required her to have an American accent.

The mom-of-two and her own mother, who lives "two miles away" from her, only speak Afrikaans to one another and the kids are learning it too.

Asked if the kids can speak it, Charlize said: "They’re learning little words... maybe they will learn because we do speak it quite a bit."

She then joked about having to be cautious because it used to be a secret language to talk about adult things; however her son Jackson is now picking up on what she is saying.
