WATCH: Check out Mariah Carey and James Packer's 'his and hers' yachts

Los Angeles - Mariah Carey and James Packer have "his-and-hers" yachts.

The Fantasy singer and her billionaire fiance are currently vacationing in Italy, but while the businessman owns and is staying on the Arctic P, the seventh largest privately owned vessel in the world, Mariah has a chartered a 192-foot capri, a luxury liner which has 16 members of crew, including a private chef.

Mariah quipped: "It is important to have his-and-hers everything."

The 46-year-old singer's yacht boasts two bars, a gym, library, six staterooms and a Jacuzzi, and costs a reported $340k a week to run, plus expenses, with fuel alone said to come in at $40k a week.

Giving Entertainment Tonight a tour of the vessel, she said: "It's really nice, it's one of my favourite places ever.

"There's a bar here in the sitting area, which I like, I like the lightness of this room, it's very feminine and cool."

And Mariah's children, five-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan - whose father is her estranged husband Nick Cannon - are having a great time on their European holiday.

She said: "They love swimming in the water. They are amazing swimmers."

There is a smaller boat which ferries the couple between yachts, with James' being the one where parties and entertaining take place, but Mariah has also been finding time to go into the recording studio and work on her new album even while on vacation.

And she is thankful the Australian tycoon is very "understanding" of her work - though not in the early hours of the morning.

She said: 'Hes very cool, he's understanding, I get it when there's things he has to do and he understands mine.

"If I'm writing a song at four in the morning, I'm not going to go up there and blast music... Well I did that, it was interesting... Whatever, I'm talking too much."
