Cape Town – News broke on Tuesday night that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were separating and it’s safe to say nobody saw this Hollywood split coming, not even George Clooney.
The Oceans Eleven actor has been good friends with both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for years but had no idea the former couple were headed for Splitsville.
George – who was at the United Nations General Assembly when news of Brangelina’s divorce broke – was asked by a CNN reporter what his thoughts on the matter were.
A surprised Clooney answered: "I didn’t know that. I feel very sorry then. That’s a sad story and unfortunate for a family.
"It’s unfortunate story about a family. I feel very sorry to hear that. That’s the first I’ve heard of it."
