Cape Town – Mindy Kaling has officially confirmed she is pregnant and expecting a baby girl.
During an interview on The Ellen Show, the 38-year-old revealed she is “very, very pregnant” and admitted she has had a good pregnancy so far but took a lot for granted before falling pregnant.
“I’ve had a pretty great time of it [pregnancy] so far, but I think I took a lot for granted before this...like sitting. I’m obsessed with sitting.”
When asked by Ellen if she knows the sex of the baby, Kaling revealed right away that she does know and that it’s a girl.
“I am not waiting; I wanted to know way early. I am having a girl. I’m so excited.”
The Mindy Project actress also opened up about her thoughts on Oprah accidentally confirming her baby news.
She told Ellen: “At first it was like, ‘Okay if anyone is going to announce big news about your private life, Oprah Winfrey is the person.’”
Mindy added that it’s not something she could complain about and it’s also not something she could reprimand Oprah about so, she just went with it.
