Cape Town - One of the women suing Usher for allegedly infecting her with herpes has revealed her identity in a lawsuit she filed on Tuesday afternoon.

Laura Helm revealed in the court papers that she is the ‘Jane Doe’ that initially sued the Good Kisser singer for infecting her with herpes.

According to The Daily Mail, Laura, a jazz musician, had been friends with Usher for several years before their relationship became intimate.

In court documents, the New Orleans musician, who is suing Usher for $20 million (R267 million), describes their relationship in great detail. She also claims the Grammy award-winning star had obsessive shower habits.

The first time they slept together, Laura claims he came over to her apartment and wooed her by talking about his philanthropic work in Africa, TMZ reports.

Eventually, the pair “began engaging in intimate and sexual relations in [her] bedroom,” the documents read.

Straight after they had finished, Usher allegedly ran into the bathroom and took a shower.

In the second instance, she claims she went to see the singer at his hotel room and he had just taken a shower when she arrived there. They spoke for a few minutes and he suddenly got up to take another shower while she waited in the living room.

Afterwards they slept together again, but did not use protection.

“Immediately after engaging in sexual and intimate relations with Helm on April 28, 2017, Usher leapt from the bed, grabbed his penis, ran to the bathroom, and began to shower again,” the complaint continues.

Laura wrote in her claim that after this – confused by Usher’s actions – she left the hotel room, while he was in the shower.

A few days after this encounter is allegedly when Laura’s nightmare really began.

According to her filing, a few days later “an unusual bump appeared on the inside of her cheek”.

She then added that another painful, pea-sized bump appeared on the inside of her vagina. Worried about this, she sought medical advice and found out late July that she had been infected with Herpes Simplex 2.

This was when she filed her first lawsuit.

Usher’s legal team is yet to make comment on the woman’s claims.
