Zooey Deschanel is preggers with baby no 2

Cape Town – Zooey Deschanel and her husband, Jacob Pechenik are expecting their second child together.

Us Weekly confirms the New Girl actress – who already has 18-month-old Elsie Otter with Jacob - is pregnant with baby number two.

The couple confirmed the birth of their baby girl along with the surprise announcement that she had secretly tied the knot with the film producer in August 2015.

In a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Zooey shared her disappointment at all the things she couldn’t have during her first pregnancy.

She said: “You can't eat so many things when you're pregnant! If I was vegan, I'd just be like ... ohhh.

"You can't have sushi. You can't have cheese that tastes good. You can have a little bit [of coffee], but I would have, like, four cups a day. And now I can have a half cup, which is a joke! It's a total joke!

"You can't have alcohol. I miss that, I like wine."
