Nicole and Joel get engaged

He's gonna put a ring on it!

After three years, two kids and a successful charity organisation, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are ready to tie the knot. Ag, sweet!

According to People, Nicole apparently said at the taping of her segment on The David Letterman Show that she and Joel are engaged.

So why'd it take so long, huh? Nicole once said that she'd only get married if her kids asked her to. We guess Harlow's had a few choice words for her parents.

We're a little surprised that this couple have stuck it out for so long. Congrats! Let's hope marriage doesn't end their luck in love.
