At the moment, there's no word on the actual cause of death, but the ever-reliable TMZ reports that it was full cardiac arrest. Seems it's the new fashionable way to go.

Another TMZ claim is that her mom found her unconscious in the shower. Her husband of two years, Simon Monjack called 911 yesterday but she was pronounced dead when she arrived at the hospital. There's talk of her taking prescription meds (another Hollywood favourite), but let's not get ahead of ourselves before the autopsy is done.

This is just so tragic! So young, and although she was a bit kooky, she was never boring.

Brittany hadn't been ho-ho-ing in the spotlight lately like she did in previous years, but she hadn't been idle either. IMDB cites that she was working in at least four films due for release next year.

Her most memorable role was that of Tai in Clueless and opposite Angelina Jolie as Daisy in Girl, Interrrupted.
