Cape Town - The Duchess of Cambridge has never put a perfectly heeled foot wrong when it comes to her sartorial choices – and 2017 was no exception. Here are 10 looks we loved this year.
1. Regal red
Kate may have been on a royal tour of Germany, but she looked like a Spanish princess in a bright red, off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress at The Queen's Birthday Party at the British Ambassadorial Residence during on 19 July.
2. In Paris, with love
Kate whisked us away to a faraway land in this embroidered dress with sheer detailing and floral embellishments by Jenny Packham, when she and Prince William attended a dinner at the British Embassy on 17 March in Paris, France.
3. Daring drop
Kate broke the mould in a sleeveless white number with a plunging neckline by top Polish designer Gosia Baczynska at a garden party to celebrate the Queen's birthday at the Orangery in Warsaw's Lazienki Park on 17 July.
4. Flirty florals
Kate was the essence of spring in a breezy emerald, floral printed Rochas dress at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show press day at Royal Hospital Chelsea on May 22.
5. Boho beautiful
Who says royals can’t be a little bohemian every now and then? The soon-to-be mom of three looked retro-ready in a printed dress by New York designer Kate Spade on a visit to the Foundling Museum on 28 November – with a tiny baby bump visible beneath the pretty pattern!
6. Snow White
Kate was flawless in a crisp white coat dress by Alexander McQueen, paired with pointy grey heels and an elaborate fascinator at Menin Gate in Ypres, Belgium, in July.
7. Baby blue
Kate channelled her inner Elsa in a sparkling, jewel-encrusted gown by one of her go-to designers Jenny Packham at the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre on November 24.
8. Mellow yellow
Kate was the picture of happiness in an exquisite yellow lace frock by Jenny Packham on a visit to the German Cancer Research Centre on the second day of their visit to Germany on 20 July in Heidelberg, Germany.
9. Lacy lass
Kate looked flawless in an emerald green lace dress by Temperley, complemented by a sparkling gold clutch bag, at the 2017 Portrait Gala at the National Portrait Gallery in London on 28 March.
10. Bold blue-blood
A vibrant colour packs some punch into this smart suit by Armani, which Kate donned to the official opening of The Global Academy in support of Heads Together on 20 April in Hayes, England.
