TimesLive reports that the swag stakes have been raised at this year's SAMAs (South African Music Awards, in case you just got out from under your rock). Presenters and nominees will receive goodie bags worth R20 000! But there's a twist...

Everyone can choose what they want! There's a list of 'cooler as ekke' items such as Levi's jeans, Ray-Ban sunglasses, limited edition Converse tekkies, and of course, Nokia's top of the range cellphones. Let's not forget that the primary sponsor is MTN.

This designer gear will be housed in a special 'store' specifically set up for the function which will take place at the Sun City Superbowl on 16 and 17 April. The hilarious and charming Trevor Noah will host the event.
