Spotted! Halle Berry dines in Hout Bay

Halle Berry has been spending the last few weeks in Cape Town, filming her new movie Dark Tide, and so far she's managed to keep out of the public eye, except for a few pics of her in a wetsuit and bikini while shooting on location in Simon's Town.

But we've just heard from the management of KITIMA in Hout Bay that she enjoyed a very private, very exclusive dinner at their restaurant on Thursday night.

"She arrived with a group of eight people, presumably colleagues from her current movie shoot. The group had booked our VIP room and tried not to attract any attention," confides co-owner Tim Harbich.

But, of course, when Halle Berry is in the building, you'd want to make a record of the occasion, right? But word is that Miss Berry declined requests for photographs with KITIMA hostesses. Ouch! Perhaps she didn’t want to be snapped dressed so casually in black tights, boots, a long shirt, fashionable baseball cap and dark glasses?

KITIMA at The Kronendal describes itself as a place "where oriental elegance and hospitality meet the unpretentious grace and charm of Africa." Halle and her entourage had complete privacy in the VIP room which has its own private entrance, "discreetly accessible for discerning clients". The restaurant is keeping details of the meal she enjoyed secret to respect her privacy.

The eatery is popular amongst SA celebs and has played host to Springbok legends Francois Pienaar and Schalk Burger, as well as actress Natalie Becker. Cliff Richard apparently pops in once a year when he’s in  SA.

Halle will be working in the country for some time so if you spot her or her gorgeous ex Gabriel Aubry and their adorable little daughter Nahla around town, let us know!
