A frequent visitor to our shores, Danny Glover flew down to Cape Town in mid-May directly from the Cannes Film Festival where he was promoting his latest film Blindness. The occasion? To announced the winners of the 2008 Fashion Awards at the Spier Wine Estate.

Now if you're wondering why the Fashion Awards would request Mr. Glover as an MC, it's because he's the ambassador for South African fashion and workers rights and actively promotes local fashion made under fair labour conditions.

At the venue, everyone clambered for personal one-on-one time with the actor, but unfortunately the three television crews who were granted interviews were all crammed into one room with the spotlight on Mr. Glover.

In true Channel24 unorthodox style we started rolling our camera and watched and learned how our television peers did what they do best. Unfortunately when the round of questions finally swung around to us, we'd run out of time and Mr. Glover was ushered to the award ceremony.

So, we've cut together pieces of the etv and CNBC Africa questions. Take a look and let us know what you think of television journalism.
