Hats off to Material – this movie has shown us, that SA can produce a movie which touches sensitive issues without offending.
Being Muslim firstly and of Indian descent; this movie spoke to both sides. I saw it as a spot on portrayal of men of that generation vs. men of today’s generation, this exists across races and religion.
Some might think is mocks Muslims, but I thought it conveyed to people the intricacies of Muslim traditions and practices.
It also brought to like the different cultural practices and how we related to each other. I found the movie to be excellent, humour was intelligent and the acting superb, Riaad Moose definitely was outstanding.
Awesome all round movie!
