Cape Town – It looks as if Will Ferrell and Paramount Pictures are indeed keeping their word.
The Channel 4 news team of 1970s hotshot anchorman Ron Burgundy (played by Ferrell), field reporter Brian Fontana (Paul Rudd), Neanderthal sports reporter Champ Kind (David Koechner), and lamp-loving weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) are back in – not just one – but two new teaser trailers to whet appetites for the much-anticipated Anchorman sequel.
Boobies
As one would expect, the trailer offers no actual scenes from the movie itself – as it hasn't been filmed yet – and is only expected to go into production in February 2013.
"Hey, America. Did you miss my hot breath in your ear?" asks Ron Burgundy as he and his team strut into shot.
The rest of the cast of misfits also promise submachine guns, "boobies" and witches (though, perhaps not really) to make an appearance in the sequel to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, the Adam McKay comedy hit which was released in 2004.
Conspicuously absent from the teaser is Christina Applegate, who played put-upon female reporter Veronica Corningstone in the original. Her involvement in the sequel has yet to be confirmed. Luke Wilson has, however, been strongly rumoured to be joining the cast.
The release date for Anchorman 2 has not been finalised, though the trailer hints that the initial 2014 release has been moved up to 2013.

A slightly more risqué "international" version of the trailer has also been released:
