Los Angeles - Angelina Jolie's next movie will be a "motherfucker" to direct.
The Oscar-winning actress is hard at work shooting her latest directorial effort, Unbroken, and Joel and Ethan Coen - who scripted the movie - say she is in for a tough task bringing World War II hero Louis Zamperini's life story to the big screen.
The Coens usually direct their own scripts but admit they are relieved not to have to adapt the difficult screenplay.
Speaking to the Independent on Saturday's Radar magazine, which is available tomorrow, they said: "There is something good about being able to blithely write whatever you want without having to worry about having to think, even in the back of your mind, about the reality of production.
"It's really true, especially that movie, which is really a motherfucker ... a difficult production thing. There is aerial combat stuff, dogfight stuff, and there is stuff on a lifeboat on an open sea. But you know, it's from a book, it's not fiction stuff, so it's not like Angie can blame us for that."
Quizzed why they were hired to script the movie, the Inside Llewyn Davis directors added: "We know her a little. Why did she solicit us? Yeah, because she knows us."
Unbroken tells the true story of American Olympic runner Zamperini, who was taken prisoner by the Japanese army during World War II.
The movie stars Skins actor Jack O'Connell, Garrett Hedlund and About Time star Domhnall Gleeson.
It is scheduled for release in December this year.
