Arnold Schwarzenegger buffs up for Terminator

Los Angeles - Arnold Schwarzenegger has been bulking up for Terminator Genisys.

The 67-year-old actor is returning to play the cyborg assassin in the forthcoming fifth movie in the franchise and despite being in shape, he admits he wasn't as muscular as when he first played the role in 1984's The Terminator so has been working hard to get back to his best and says his routine is the same now as it was then.

He said: "I wasn't as big as I used to be so I gained 10 pounds and trained for an extra hour a day with heavier weights.

"And I got back into the things I did in the old days, eating more protein, taking food supplements, drinking more protein drinks, that sort of thing."

The former Governor of California has been enjoying working on the film and admits it was easy to get back into character.

He told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I'm having a good time on this movie. It's a terrific story and it was not difficult at all to slip back into the character - it's in bred in me by now. I have been very fortunate to be doing these films through all stages of my career, from the body-building to movies to the political world and now back to the movie world

"I think few people do that and have the pleasure of being accepted in all worlds."
