Avatar 2 to 'go underwater'

San Diego – Actress Michelle Rodriguez says Avatar 2 will take viewers underwater and will be extraordinarily beautiful.

Rodriguez, who starred in the original, said in an interview on Thursday that she has no clue yet whether she will be asked to play a role in the sequel.

But she said she hopes creator James Cameron will at least invite her to the set to watch it being made.

Going underwater seems to be a running theme for Cameron, who helped produce the 3D underwater cave adventure Sanctum.

Rodriguez has been promoting her latest film Battle: Los Angeles, directed by South African filmmaker Jonathan Liebesman, about aliens attacking California.

Rodriguez, who plays an Air Force sergeant, says the film pays homage to troops.
