Los Angeles – The actress who starred opposite Patrick Swayze in the original Dirty Dancing has shown her support as plans for a remake of the classic 80’s film were revealed.
Jennifer Grey, 51, showed her support to Kenny Ortega, the original film’s choreographer who has been announced as the new film’s director by tweeting: "I love @Kennyortega and trust that he will do something special #DirtyDancingRemake".
She later added: "Blown away by all of the love expressed for #DirtyDancing. Makes me want to see it again. So grateful to have been a part of it."
Jennifer, who was back in the spotlight after winning reality dance competition Dancing with the Stars, played Frances "Baby" Houseman in the cult classic opposite Patrick Swayze as her sexy dance teacher.
Dirty Dancing won Oscars for best music and best original song for (I've Had) The Time of My Life, and has sold more than 10 millions units on DVD, as well as inspiring a hit stage show in London and six other countries.
