Brad Pitt lines up Cogan's Trade

Los Angeles - Brad Pitt will begin shooting Cogan's Trade in March.

The Hollywood heartthrob will reteam with director Andrew Dominik - who worked with him on The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - to play titular character Jackie Cogan in the film.

The movie tells the tale of a man investigating the robbery of a high stakes poker game.

Casey Affleck, Josh Brolin and Zoe Saldana are also rumoured to be involved in the movie, Scene magazine reports.

Cogan's Trade will be shot in New Orleans, the second time Brad has gone to film in the city following on from 2008's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Last year it was revealed Brad had pulled out of The Lost City of Z - about explorer and spy Percy Fawcett - to star in the film.

The 47-year-old actor will next be seen in The Tree of Life alongside Sean Penn, and will soon start work on zombie war film World War Z.
