Los Angeles - A third Bridget Jones' Diary movie has been commissioned.
Working Title Films, who made Bridget Jones Diary in 2001 and sequel Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason in 2004, have agreed to make a third instalment after spending two years considering the project, Entertainment Weekly reports.
No further details have been confirmed as yet, including whether Renee Zellweger - who played the title character - Colin Firth and Hugh Grant have signed deals to appear in the next movie.
Pregnant
Last year, Colin - who plays Mark Darcy - revealed the possible storyline for the third film.
He said: "I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can't have children, I think that's the way it goes on. So then she makes the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver (Hugh's character) for long enough to get pregnant. And I think he dumps her, and she's left stranded, and guess who comes back to rescue her?"
Earlier this year, Helen Fielding, who wrote the books on which the films are based, revealed she had been writing a third instalment.
She said: "I will be working on both the book and the film but I don't know if they are the same thing yet. It's not been decided."
