Cape Town – The crime thriller Nommer 37 debuts at the kykNet Silwerskerm Festival on Friday 29 August.
Irishaad Ally, best known for his role in Four Corners, plays Randall Hendricks, a paraplegic stuck in his apartment.
Growing up on the Cape Flats as a child thief, Randall found himself in the middle of a gangster rival war that left him lame.
Depressed about his situation and sinking slowly into financial debt, he spends his days in his flat watching his neighbours through a pair of binoculars.
One day he witnesses a powerful gangster commit murder and embarks on a path of blackmail.
