Chris Hemsworth worries about Avengers

Los Angeles - Chris Hemsworth doesn't think anything will ever top the success of The Avengers.

The Hollywood hunk says the phenomenal success of the superhero action team movie, which grossed over $1bn worldwide, will be hard to beat and he is likely to be disappointed with his future film roles.

"I don't think anything will ever come close... Probably Avengers 2, but it will be pretty hard to hit that again. It's almost as if I've been ruined for the rest of my career regarding box-office expectations," Chris said in a recent interview with Empire magazine.

The 29-year-old actor says the cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr and Samuel L. Jackson, had a feeling the film would be popular, but didn't anticipate quite how explosive its impact would be, especially due to the silly costumes they had to wear.

'The most impractical thing in the world'

"I think everyone there knew the potential of what it could be, but at the same time felt as ridiculous as everyone else! Because we're all standing around in these wacky costumes. It's the most impractical thing in the world. It's like, why would you ever put [a cape] on," Chris said.

However, Chris soon felt at ease thanks to his Thor co-star Tom Hiddleston as they both shared the same nervous excitement about working on such a big film and were able to have a laugh together on set.

"It was kind of perfect, the way he and if were at very similar points in our career," he told Empire magazine.

"We'd just be giggling, 'Oh my god, that's Robert Downey and Sam Jackson. Some of the stuff I look most forward to are my scenes with Tom. We've had a hell of a lot of fun."
