Dakota Johnson wants to take the year off after Fifty Shades

Los Angeles - Dakota Johnson will "take the rest of the year off" after Fifty Shades of Grey.

The 25-year-old actress - who stars as Anastasia Steele in the novel adaptation - has revealed that she will be catching up with her family and friends once the film is released next month.

She said: "[I'll] do a bit of press for Fifty, and then I'm just going to take the rest of the year off.
"I want to hang out with my friends. I want to hang out with my family - well, I sometimes want to hang out with my family!"

Dakota was "fearless and brave" throughout the filming for the movie and the connection with her on-screen lover, played by Jamie Dornan, was "special", according to the film's director, Sam Taylor-Johnson.

She shared: "There are tough scenes in this movie, scenes where she had to be naked - and not just in the flesh. But she was utterly fearless and brave."

Speaking of the two stars, she added: "[They] have a very special connection. I trust her with everything. She has a very level head, and there was never really an anxious moment."

Dakota's 32-year-old co-star also spoke highly of her, revealing that she was a "perfect" actress.

Speaking in the February 2015 issue of Vogue magazine, he said: "Humour on a film set goes a long way.

But she also had the ability to be a very strong dramatic actress.

"She'd be telling a joke one minute and breaking your heart on-screen the next - so she was perfect."
