Los Angeles -  The sequal Expendables 2, dominated US and Canadian box offices for a second time, beating a weak slate of new films during a slow late-summer weekend.

Distributor of the film, Lions Gate Entertainment said that the film starring Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and other big names, took in $13.5m. The movie's two-week domestic total has reached $52.3m.

Another action sequel, The Bourne Legacy has landed in the No 2 spot with $9.3m. The movie stars Jeremy Renner in a reboot of a spy franchise that previously featured Matt Damon.

Universal Studios, a unit of Comcast Corp, released Bourne Legacy, and the studio's Focus Features distributed ParaNorman.

What a crappy movie.. lots explosions and gunfire yes, but corny one liners by actors who are..well..old and not so entertaining anymore.. I was also one of the people who couldn't wait for this release, but really.. I wish they killed the script writer at the end of the movie..

lining up those guys on one screenplay was enough to convince some of us to go and watch the movie.
