From Berlin to Cannes to Madrid, this SA actor has hit the bigtime!

Cape Town – With almost 70 movie and TV credits under his belt it’s safe to say that South African born actor Stelio Savante is living the dream in Hollywood.

After leaving South Africa in 1990 he’s been on a mission to make it big and he has.

His early career credits include roles in A Beautiful Mind, Law & Order SVU, Sopranos, Law & Order Criminal Intent, Without A Trace, NCIS, All My Children, Ugly Betty, and My Super Ex Girlfriend to mention a few.

This year he stars in three different films that are making news at the Berlin, Cannes and Madrid International film festivals.

Earlier this year he was seen in Berlin’s Golden Bear nominated Golden Bear nominated Eisenstein In Guanajuato.

He also features in Check, Please which has been officially selected for Cannes Court Metrage, the official competition for short films at Festival De Cannes.

He is also a supporting lead in the film Where The Road Runs Out, partially shot in Durban.

Stelio’s lead lead role in Once We Were Slaves has netted him several best actor awards including at Best Shorts Competition, IndieFest, and in the Global Accolade Competition.

The film has also been nomination for numerous awards at the Madrid International film festival.

He has three more films that will be released later this year and two TV mini-series.

It's clear this is one South African you have to watch!
