Harrry Potter actor rushed to hospital

Orlando - Robbie Coltrane, the actor who played half-giant Hagrid in the Harry Potter film series, was rushed to hospital with strong flu-like symptoms, according to media reports.

US magazine TMZ was first to report Friday on Coltraine, 64, being hospitalised in Orlando, Florica, after flying in from London. He was expected to spend the night there.

The BBC cited Coltrane's agent as saying that the British actor was "resting" and would "be fine," but provided no further details about his condition.

Coltrane had been travelling to a Harry Potter convention at Universal Studios, the BBC reported.
