Cape Town – ShowMax, the local subscription video on demand (SVOD) service, is heaven for anyone who likes to binge-watch like a mofo.

Keeping up with modern trends the smart folks over at ShowMax focused mostly on providing loads of series for back-to-back viewing.

Although huge fans of binging, it turns out that South African viewers also like to watch movies. So to keep up with viewer demand ShowMax decided to add 30 new movie titles to their offering.

“Series are still the key driver and every week we see the appreciation of this content, but we’ve also had quite a bit of feedback telling us that there’s a strong appetite for movies. We aim to please, so my team and I went out and did some shopping. In total, we’ve added 30 new movies in October alone,” said Victor Eckard, head of content at ShowMax.
