Hugh offered $100m Wolverine deal

Los Angeles - Hugh Jackman has reportedly been offered $100 million to star in four more Wolverine movies.

The veteran actor has played the claw-wielding superhero a staggering six times on the big screen - including the recently released The Wolverine - and movie studio 20th Century Fox is eager to sign him up for more movies, according to the National Enquirer.

However, it is claimed the 44-year-old actor is wary about accepting the offer as he doesn't want to be locked into a multi-year deal.

A source said: "Hugh has a very big decision to make. It's not every day an actor gets offered this kind of pay check, but Hugh vowed never to lock himself into any multi-picture deals after X-Men.

"He hasn't given any kind of answer yet, so at least he's considering it."

Jackman first played the mutant hero in 2000's X-Men and starred in the film's two sequels in 2003 and 2006 before leading his own spin-off movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, in 2009.

Following a small cameo in 2011's X-Men: First Class, the actor reprised the part again this summer with The Wolverine earning critical acclaim.

The Australian actor will reunite with his X-Men co-stars once again for blockbuster superhero movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, in 2014.
