Los Angeles – The Fifty Shades of Grey train is going full steam ahead!
In just over a week the trailer of the hugely anticipated erotic thriller based on EL James' novels has become the most viewed trailer on Youtube with 36.4 million views, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
This makes Fifty Shades of Grey the best opening trailer of 2014, knocking off Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as the number one trailer with 31 million views in its opening week in March. It also beat action flicks heavy weights Godzilla and Transformers: Age of Extinction which received 26 million views in the opening week.
Set to an exclusive version of Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love, the trailer gave viewers a first look at Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), how they meet and their developing relationship.
The film is set to be released on 14 Februaury 2015.
