James Franco to star as former gay rights activist in new film

Los Angeles - James Franco, who is known for his erratic behaviour on social media, has been missing in action lately.

He recently revealed why he was missing with his latest Instagram posts.

The Never Been Kissed actor is currently filming a biopic that will chronicle the life of former gay rights activist, Michael Glatze.

Michael Glatze founded the foundation, Young Gay America, which lead him to be recognised as a gay rights advocate. Glatze later announced that he no longer identified himself as a gay man and denounced homosexuality all together.

The film, Michael, co-stars Zachary Quinto of Star Trek fame as Glatze's ex gay lover, and Emma Roberts as his wife to be.
